[Editor's note: this particular language-challenged individual is obviously one of those people who believes he can pretend to be more knowledgeable than he actually is. You'd think he'd at least try to compose readable English if he wants to pretend to be well-educated, but more to the point, why do people like this expect to fool anyone? Or perhaps even more importantly, why are they so confident in the first place, when they obviously aren't very well-educated?]
[Jul 26, 2004]:
there are several things i want to say and ask
you. you sound like your in college or recently got out of it, or
are other wise working in a profesional science job related to
education. you sound like a reasonable guy, your just on the
relatively opposite side of the board as me.
you have made many comments about how geology and evoltion or other
feilds of study arent the same. no they arent the same but they are
all science and all of science is connected, you cant do one thing
without bleeding into another feild of study.
you dont seem to know about astronomy (or about the universe away
from Earth if somone wants to be specific about astronomies
definition) as much as you do other stuff. there is the big bang
theory and around a dozen varients that scientist have tried to put
togather to form a model that can even closly come to how celestial
objects are moving in their vectors. they try multiple big bangs in
a donut ring arrangement, still doesnt work, many are still trying
to find somway for the big bang to work but it just isnt happening.
the Sun: heres a scenario for you, we know excactly how much energy
the sun burns off every year(and all the mathmatical stuff adding
in the smaller size each year, no duh) well we can do that
backwords too and calculate how big the Sun was 10,000 years ago or
1 million. i'll let you do the math and let you see how darn
close Earth is after only 100 million years, or how far inside the
Sun Mercury is. i'll let you do the math, i assume you have the
capabilities from what ive seen of your work.
somthing that is realy wrong and twisted is your sex issue debate
page. yes i know most the old geazzer preacher/bishops/other are
very radical about how "sex is bad bad bad" from your
side they look like jerks who have ugly wives, from my side up
closer they are old men who perhaps used to be really sharp about
God's Word (in otherwise the Bible) but they were only good in
one area like such but now they act like they are all knowing about
the Bible and they dont even read it anymore and they have no clue
what the heck their talking about. so you got a point on them
(personally i question most of them their faith). Before i go on
yes im going to be bibical but dont tune out till im done, this is
really what comes from the God's Word. Marriage was created and
ordained by God. a husband and wife combined so a likeness of Him
through us. sex being a way of reproduction and bonding of 2 ppl.
when sex is practiced outside of marriage it degrades the image of
God from the sexual parnters not being married. things like Porn
are bad for 2 reasons, 1 it downgrades the human mind into thinking
immoral thoughts of women in the real world, and 2 the female/male
in those photograph/video are downgrading themselves. in same
gender relationships, it can be pyshically harmful for guys and
pychocologically harmful for the girls. girls are emotionally
attached when it come to relationship, a lot more then guys. when
they go around changing partners it creates a chemical imbalance. i
dont think sex is bad i think its a great thing but for a wife and
husband only, i even openly talk about sex with my friends(i wont
go any further then that).
the reason this country even has morals of any kind comes from
religion, might i say the better morals comes from Christianity,
but you dont seem to know many specifics and details on the insides
of religions so i wont go into that.
now you might think some of my stuff is weird since you might never
have heard it this way before, well not many people are like me who
know science and theology a great bit both, i'd like to hear a
response if possible, i like debating.
PS do run the whole stardestroyer.net site? starwars part looks
good, my compliments

You're missing the point, which is that the people working in these fields cannot plausibly be argued to all be constructing their theories with the intent of bolstering biology theories. They are separate fields. This is like arguing that mathematicians tailor their equations to suit the needs of evolution theory, just because mathematics and science are related.

Saying that you can't explain exactly how it happened does not mean you can deny that it happened at all. The universe is expanding; this is an OBSERVATION, not a theory. Therefore, it was obviously much smaller at one time, and must have started expanding outwards at some point. You are not seeing the logic of the situation. If you wake up in the morning, find that your car has been smashed, and can't figure out how it happened, does this mean it didn't happen?

Actually, the Sun need not get significantly smaller in 1 million years. You have obviously assimilated some creationist literature without really studying the situation at all. The Sun makes roughly 3.8E26 watts, so it burns roughly 6.3E11 kg of hydrogen per second. Mind you, the fusion process only converts 0.68% of the reactant to energy which leaves the Sun (the rest is turned into helium, which remains in the Sun), so the net loss in mass is only 4.3 million metric tonnes per second. This may sound like a lot, but its total mass is roughly 2E30 kg. You don't need to be a math wizard to see that 100 million years of fusion burning at that rate would only use up 0.00068% of its mass. So "how darn close" do you think Earth would be after a solar mass change of 0.00068%? Oooooohhh, 0.00068% after 100 million years! Quick! Panic! The sun is shrinking out of control!

Which means very little to me, since I don't believe in God.
Marriage was created and ordained by God.
Wrong. It was created and ordained by men. In some countries, those men claimed they were doing it on behalf of God. In others, such as ancient Egypt or Rome or China, they did not, or they had different gods.
a husband and wife combined so a likeness of Him through us. sex being a way of reproduction and bonding of 2 ppl. when sex is practiced outside of marriage it degrades the image of God from the sexual parnters not being married.
If one does not believe in God, why should one care about degrading his image?
things like Porn are bad for 2 reasons, 1 it downgrades the human mind into thinking immoral thoughts of women in the real world,
You have failed to show that sexual thoughts are immoral.
and 2 the female/male in those photograph/video are downgrading themselves.
But of course, a man who is depicted being beaten and tortured in "The Passion of the Christ" is uplifting, right?
in same gender relationships, it can be pyshically harmful for guys and pychocologically harmful for the girls.
No evidence for this.
girls are emotionally attached when it come to relationship, a lot more then guys. when they go around changing partners it creates a chemical imbalance.
No evidence for this. In fact, while married men live longer, married women don't.
i dont think sex is bad i think its a great thing but for a wife and husband only, i even openly talk about sex with my friends(i wont go any further then that).
That is a personal decision. You do not have the right to make others follow it.
the reason this country even has morals of any kind comes from religion,
Prove it.
might i say the better morals comes from Christianity, but you dont seem to know many specifics and details on the insides of religions so i wont go into that.
On the contrary, I am quite familiar with religion. However, I am also familiar with other aspects of secularism, and it has its own moral principles.
now you might think some of my stuff is weird since you might never have heard it this way before, well not many people are like me who know science and theology a great bit both, i'd like to hear a response if possible, i like debating.
On the contrary, I have heard your arguments many times before, and to be quite honest, I doubt your claims of scientific knowledge, since you seem to have bought into the laughable "Sun burns up fuel so quickly it must shrink fast" pseudoscience argument promoted by the young-Earthers.
